  • Numi teas are generally good quality, and this one is no exception. It's a blend of green tea, black Puerh tea, and Magnolia flowers, which gives it a complex combination of flavors that's quite interesting, although heavy on the earthy well-fermented side.

The directions call for steeping 2-4 minutes with boiling water, but I found that range to give a bitter brew heavy on the black tea tannins. I had much smoother results that highlighted the magnolia and green tea elements by steeping for only 1 minute with boiling water. It's even better when I let the boiling water cool for 2 minutes before pouring over the tea and steeping for another 2.

  • This is a gently flavored tea. Nothing overwhelming. But amazing, smooth flavor and what I have come to expect from Numi: stunning quality of tea.

I love this manufacturers teas. They are spot on. A real value.

  • I am not a heavy tea drinker, and I cannot speak to all the tiny details of taste. But this tea is delicious, and has a very nice flavor. I, personally, prefer it slightly sweetened. (And I will confess to using plain old sugar to do it. ) It has become my treat in the early afternoon, my feet up, relaxing with some Norah Jones before everyone comes bounding in.

Give it a try. You will not regret it!

  • I need to say first that I'm a big fan of Numi brand tea. Yes, it's more expensive than other teas, but I find the price is more than deserving for the quality.

This particular variety has a wonderful flavor. It contains the earthy, rich flavor of the puerh, with the floral (almost sweet) flower of the magnolia. The red magnolia and brown puerh gives the tea a deep burgundy color, which is really quite nice. Puerh by itself can be a bit strong, but combined with the herbal magnolia makes the flavor just right. I don't usually put milk in my tea, but it went really nicely with numi puerh tea. I also appreciate that it's organic and contains no pesticides.

This tea may seem a little expensive, but all in all I think it's a very reasonable price. You're getting 32 tea bags for $14, or 43 cents each. That's not all that bad. Whenever I make tea, I make a whole pot and use two tea bags, which ends up being about 4 cups. All in all, I highly recommend this tea and will be enjoying each cup I brew.

  • After reading the fascinating history of this tea,I made it a must to check this Tea out firsthand.

The current weather in L.A. is as hot as heck and I normally wouldn't have a HOT cup of tea but I wanted to try this very much and I figured getting up at 6am the heat would be tolerable and I was correct.

The freshly brewed cup was a delight, but pay attention to the instructions on the box! This stuff gets as dark as night in no time fast but the flavor is a joy and one you shouldn't miss!

While I was savoring this cup of delightful tea,I was also brewing several bags of this beautiful tea for my ice tea later in the day and as I sip that Ice Tea now while typing out this note,I gotta tell you this is a joy that shouldn't be missed.
